Before joining CLDDGP I had the privilege to clerk for the Hon. Brian White and the Hon. Matthew Sage in the NJ Superior Court, Ocean County, Family Division. This opportunity gave me valuable insight into the various dynamics that are often at play when a family breaks apart. Witnessing the conflicts and the consequences caused by such conflicts gave me resolve to enter the field with a mindset aimed at resolution and mediation. One understated consequence of family conflict is the harmful effect it invariably has on the children. Mitigating this harm to children is a driving motivation of mine when addressing family disputes. Working with Special Needs children and young adults for many years has given me the passion and understanding to place the children first and foremost.
I have also interned in the NJ Superior Court, Ocean County, Criminal Division and Family Division, as well as the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. These experiences have given me an understanding of the nexus of various areas of law and how issues are often intertwined. These behind-the-scenes experiences have given me great appreciation for how the system works and how to effectively utilize this knowledge to benefit my clients.
Prior to attending law school and entering the legal field I had the opportunity to work in various non legal jobs, including demolition, cooking assistant, retail representative and school maintenance. These opportunities have given me practical experience in many areas that cannot be otherwise obtained, and I utilize these experiences as I engage with clients in the legal profession.
When I am not in the office, I can be found training for marathons, kayaking or taking long nature walks. I also enjoy studying history and travelling around the world and the U.S.A.
